Geneva Williams, a founding member of the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2002 from complications of a stroke and heart disease. She will be missed by her family, friends and the community in which she made such a strong contribution. The memorial service will be Thursday, October 17th 1:30 pm at Glendale Forest Lawn @ the Wee Kirk of the Heather. There will be a viewing Wednesday, October 16th at Glendale Forest Lawn Main Building. Please call 800/204-3131 for hours and directions.

The Spaymobile is returning to Echo Park for a second time on Tuesday October 29 (see the Calendar below for specifics). The Spaymobile is a self-sufficient mobile spay and neuter clinic that travels to different areas of the city to provide FREE spay and neuter services for pet owners who do not have the resources to spay or neuter their dogs and cats.
