Mayor Hahn unveils the new 3-1-1 “One Call to City Hall” phone number: The new 3-1-1 system allows residents to make “One Call to City Hall” for information and any non-emergency service. Instead of sorting through more than 800 listings in the phone book or having to know which City departments handles a service, residents and businesses now have one easy-to-remember number to access City services. Echo Park Tableaux, Street level views of one of L.A.’s most vibrant communities, before it becomes the next Silver Lake in the Los Angeles Times. Unfortunately the Times website leaves out all the photos found in the Sunday Magazine, including the main one, which is definitely not in Echo Park. Well what they say above is true, turn to the Map of Silverlake and look, all of Echo Park, Frogtown, Chinatown and East Hollywood have been absorbed by Silver Lake and only Atwater Village has been spared a similar fate!
