Well, before I went on vacation I couldn’t upload news to the server and since returning I haven’t had a chance to update the news.
Not that there has been much Echo Park news except that Echo Park neighbor Gary Leonard placed 125th in his run for Governor of California! Gary also has a new book out, Symphony in Steel documenting the 16 year saga of the construction of Disney Hall. Dawson’s Book Shop will be hosting a reception/book signing this Saturday from 2.30-5.00. 535 North Larchmont.
Well it looks like after a years hiatus that the Echo Park Holiday Parade is returning this year on Sunday December 14th at 1.00PM!
The Echo Park Historical Society has a new website at www.HistoricEchoPark.Org and a Historic Home Tour on Saturday, November 9th from 11AM to 4PM. Featured are 10 (count ‘um 10!) houses for only $15 ($12 if you buy by mail before the day of the tour).
