Sunset Halls Red Twilight features longtime Echo Park fixture Luba Perlin.

On Thursday morning Echo Park lost one of its hero’s when Ron Emler passed away. Founder of the Echo Park Security Association, cofounder of the Echo Park Improvement Association and co-author of The Ghost of Echo Park, Ron was a tireless advocate for Echo Park. We’ll all miss Ron and his great travel postcards.

Update: Per Ron’s request no formal memorial will be held.
