According to local Michael O’Brien: “That’s right, Pioneer Market, our local community institution, is closing. In its place will be a Walgreen’s in the southern (eastern?) half of the building, and an unidentified “retail space” in the other half. Building permits are in the process of being approved.”
Also of note, Carmelo’s on Sunset has sold again, this makes three times in two years, to a young local couple who plan on making it a cafe featuring artisan breads.
