Laveta Terrace Stairway:

A wide, elegant stairway with multiple landings that leads to a row of palm trees at the top of the hill. Located on Laveta Terrace, one block east of Echo Park Avenue, north of Sunset Blvd.  (more…)

The Bohemian Havens of Elysian Heights

A home designed and built the late architectural photographer Maynard L. Parker will be one of the featured properties at this year’s Historic Echo Park Home Tour on Sunday, Nov. 12.   The year’s theme, “The Bohemian Havens of Elysian Heights” reflects the tour’s focus on the northern edge of the neighborhood, where secluded canyons and steep hillsides have served as refuge and inspiration to generations of artists. THE TASTE OF ECHO PARK

The Taste of Echo Park, the first Echo Park Chamber fundraiser for 2009 will be held on Monday March 9th, from 7pm-9pm at the Allston Yacht Club, 1320 Echo Park Ave. Join the Echo Park Chamber of Commerce for an evening of excitement, Wine, Appetizers, Silent Auctions, Raffles, Give-aways and it is all just waiting for you!

There will be prizes and a silent auction. The featured artwork in the auction includes Shepard Fairey’s ‘Adopt’ print (above), a revision of the artists’ iconic Obama election campaign posters. Tickets are just $12.00 per person. The art to be featured in the auction can be previewed at Masa of Echo Park, 1800 W. Sunset Blvd. Valet Parking will be available.
